On April 29 at 2:30 p.m., the Catholic University of Braga will host the conference “New Career Challenges: What Skills for the Future?”, which will take place in Room 1.2 of the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences.

As part of the series of conferences marking the launch of the Applied Management program, this initiative brings together a group of experts in the field of careers and professional development, with the aim of fostering reflection on changes in the labor market in a context marked by uncertainty and rapid technological advancement.

The program will begin with a welcome address, followed by a panel discussion featuring several leading professionals, including Ricardo Costa (Bernardo da Costa Group), Marta Vieira (Talenter), Ana Daniela Silva (Portuguese Association for Career Development), Catarina Isabel Pereira (PwC Human Capital), and Marta Alves, a psychologist specializing in professional development. The discussion will be moderated by José Pedro Fernandes (NOW).

The closing session will be led by Fr. Bruno Nobre, S.J., and there will also be a networking session, which will allow participants and speakers to interact directly.

Throughout the conference, key topics will be addressed, such as the skills most valued by companies, changes in recruitment processes, and the challenges professionals face in an ever-changing landscape.
